Marlen Ochoa-Lopez

I went down to Pilsen to photograph some murals when I stumbled upon this memorial.  This mural honoring Marlen Ochoa-Lopez was completed by Artist Milton Coronado at 16th Street and Newberry Avenue in Pilsen.  These tributes have been built up since the mural’s completion. Marlen Ochoa-Lopez, 19, was 9 months pregnant when she was killed, and her baby was cut from her body.  Her child later died.
